Evangelia Marathaki
In her series, “Looking for An Identity”, Evangelia Marathaki draws inspiration from the life, work and persona of Emily Dickinson. A poet of mythic status, Dickinson was a recluse, obsessed with death; Marathaki channels this persona into her drawings, with intricate patterning and architecture culled from 19th Century design, in an effort to re-imagine the poet’s world.
