Although I work in many mediums and subject matter, my deep passion is female nudes drawn with art markers. As a woman I have experienced the warped sense of beauty in our society and its effects. Through my art I strive to deliver a message of self acceptance and inner beauty. I have healed many issues through creating self portraits. Seeing myself in an objective light has helped me know myself intimately. I grow in self love and respect with every piece. My damaged sense of self and sexuality diminishes and I experience true self acceptance. This collection here on “The Power of Self” are all self portraits. Two of them are me with my son. I desire to inspire others to see their perfection exactly as they are as I teach myself that I am perfect exactly as I am.
